Frank Turner’s response on his forum:
“i can’t pretend i know Tom particularly well - we’ve hung out a bunch and he was a sweetheart every time. absolutely no one knew about this before he announced it (i know his publicist, she was as shocked as anyone). obviously, it’s totally his (her?) decision, and it took a massive amount of guts to make this public (i can’t help thinking that after all the stupid shit AM have put up with from elitist punks they can handle anything). personally i actually think the appropriate response is to not make a massive deal out of it - a private individual has made a brave step to make themselves happier. good for them. now move on. something like that. i guess some people were wanting me to tweet about it or whatever but that seems to me to be unnecessary. good for Laura.”

I honestly wish I could have given you my ticket. I must say I enjoyed Of Monsters and Men and Walk the Moon though. My friends talked me into going. I am not partial to swarms of people so I should have known going in this was bad news. Sorry to sound like a prick being all bitchy about such a ‘privilege’.
